Power Yoga is a practice of building strength, flexibility, and endurance in your physical body. We are inspired by the Baptiste Yoga Methodology, so we teach a 60-minute Journey into Power sequence; an intentional flow of simple poses meant to integrate, awaken, and rejuvenate your body.

Gentle Yoga

The movement is slow, each movement is linked with breath, and we enter into the postures gradually—moving in and out of each pose first, and then finding a holding position.

At the Yoga Lab, Power Yoga + Heat is done in a 90-95 degree heated studio. The intention of what’s typically known as Hot Yoga (we call it Power Yoga + Heat at the Lab) is to disrupt the drift of your life by building a yoga practice from a space of effort and ease. The heat creates physical discomfort so we can build muscular memory that being uncomfortable is okay and tolerable.

Restorative yoga helps us cultivate the skill of conscious relaxation. This powerful practice uses long-held, supported resting poses and breathwork to create the conditions for us to cultivate the skill of conscious relaxation and most importantly to release unnecessary tension in the body and mind. Poses are usually held 5-10 minutes and supported by bolsters, blankets, and blocks.

Yin yoga is a slow-paced and meditative practice targeting our deep connective tissues, breath patterns, and mind. All levels welcome.

Advanced Power + Heat

An advanced class to deepen your power yoga practice. This class will follow the Journey Into Power structure with some modifications for deepening the poses and pillars of the practice. This class is accessible after you’ve come to 3 Power + Heat classes at the Yoga Lab
